Noah Webster Micro Society Magnet School is a community with high academic expectations, where cultural diversity is celebrated, and parent and community participation is the key to student success. We believe that providing a safe and nurturing environment where children and adults are respected, appreciated, valued, and encouraged to develop, will create a sense of belonging and a lifelong love of learning.

It is our mission to guide students along this path by:

• Nurturing the unique heart, mind and body of each child by using a variety of teaching methods and instructional strategies that address different learning styles.

• Encouraging students to strive to their fullest potential by meeting the challenging academic standards in every content area through authentic learning experiences that address and solve real problems.

Creating a teaching and learning environment in which all staff continually receive opportunities to upgrade skills and to reflect and assess effective teaching practices.

Good Afternoon Noah Webster Families,

*****Celebrations
As part of our focus on healthy students and in concern for food-based allergies, food items, other than approved snacks for classes that have snack time, are not permitted in the classroom, this includes when celebrating birthdays. Classrooms may recognize birthdays through compliment circles or other activities. If families wish to further recognize a child’s birthday, please provide other alternatives such as giving pencils to the students or donating a book to the class library.

*****Students should not come to school in costumes on October 31.  Students should wear the regular uniform that day.

*****As you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. To spread awareness, the student government is hosting a bake sale, a dress down day, and a dodge ball tournament for 6-8 grades on October 30th. For the dress down day, please bring in one dollar for Breast Cancer Awareness month to give to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Please wear pink clothes. The bake sale will be held during the dodge ball tournament after school from 3:45-5:00. During the dodge ball tournament, you must have a team of five people, no more and no less. Please come and help Susan Komen and the rest of the people with Breast Cancer. Thank-you!
